P!nk is one of the world’s best-selling music artists. She is well known for her edgy pop music, chart-topping hits, acrobatic stage presence, and numerous accolades including Grammy, Brit, Daytime Emmy, and MTV Video Music awards. More than 20 years after her debut, she has not backed down.

As a teen, she was rebellious but found comfort in music. At age 14, she was already performing in Philadelphia nightclubs and started to write her own songs. Despite her somewhat wild past, she continued her rapid rise to success in the music world. She was a member of two R&B bands: “Basic Instinct” and “Choice,” before embarking on a solo career upon advice of musician L. A. Reid. In 2000, she released her double-platinum debut “Can’t Take Me Home” which propelled her to fame.

Her albums and concert tours were and still are international successes and she notably records and writes songs for herself as well as for other artists. In 2019, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her talents as a musician. But while she is clearly recognized for her music contributions, there is much more in her portfolio. She has tried her hand at acting and appeared in several movies over the years, including “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” “Thanks for Sharing”, “Catacombs,” and “Happy Feet Two.”

She is also an animal rights activist, advocate for LGBTQ rights, and a philanthropist, proudly supporting the causes she believes in. She once explained “I'm very involved with PETA - People for Ethical Treatment of Animals - and Greenpeace and a lot of women's shelter and clothing giveaways.”

Since the beginning, she has broken barriers, gender stereotypes, and beauty norms. Through her personal songs and activism, she encourages others to stand up to injustice and voices opinions. As she once said, “I sing my life. It’s like I’m having group therapy 350 days a year, and the people who come to the show get that, and they’re there for that – whether it’s to be lifted up, or to be lifted out, or just entertained or inspired, or to feel not so alone.”
