Among this year’s awardees are Cheryl Pegus, Executive Vice President of Health and Wellness for Walmart, who is known for launching innovative healthcare products enabling organizations to capture and maintain market share; Stephanie Hallford, Vice President and General Manager at Intel Corporation, who has over two decades of global experience spanning business operations, sales, marketing, product management, and communications; and Anne Cherry, Chief of Strategy of Axiom Healthcare Strategies, who assists in bringing innovative science to patients and breaks down bottlenecks allowing cutting-edge treatments.

1. Cheryl Pegus
EVP of Health and Wellness, Walmart

Cheryl Pegus is the Executive Vice President of Health and Wellness of Walmart. She first joined the company in 2020. Walmart is the world's largest company by revenue, with about US$570 billion in annual revenue, according to the Fortune Global 500 list in 2022. It is also the largest private employer in the world with 2.2 million employees. Walmart commits to serving customers in a changing retail environment, leveraging both associates and technology to make it happen.

Previously, Pegus was the president of consumer solutions and chief medical officer at Cambia Health Solutions. She has held roles as chief medical officer and head of product development for other national health systems and pharmacy retailers. She has a demonstrated track record of launching innovative healthcare products which enable organizations to capture and maintain market share. Pegus has held board member positions for private equity and public healthcare companies where she contributes to the development of strategic plans, business cases and operational buildouts for revenue targets. She is on the board of the American Heart Association and is the past-Chair of the Association of Black Cardiologists. She has been recognized as a leader in pragmatically addressing gaps in care and cost across underserved populations utilizing data-driven, innovative solutions to improve health and care fragmentation. Pegus received an MPH from Columbia University School of Public Health, an MD from Cornell University Medical College, and completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at New York Hospital-Cornell.

2. Stephanie Hallford
VP & General Manager of Business Client Platforms, Intel Corporation

Stephanie Hallford is a Vice President in the Client Computing Group and General Manager of business client platforms (BCP) at Intel Corporation. She is responsible for Intel’s B2B client product group and its related revenue, sales, marketing, and engineering. This includes ownership of the Intel® vPro™ platform, Intel’s enterprise-grade “built for business” product line across desktop and mobile platforms. Hallford joined Intel in 2000 and has been committed to the company ever since.

An accomplished tech executive, Hallford has more than two decades of global experience spanning business operations, sales, marketing, product management, and communications. She has spent the bulk of her career in Asia, including multiple leadership roles in China and Hong Kong. Before relocating to the United States to assume her current role in 2018, Hallford led marketing and business operations for Intel’s Client Computing Group in China. Prior to moving back to Beijing in 2004, Hallford led the global campaign strategy to launch Intel® Centrino® mobile technology, a game changer in wireless mobility. Hallford earned an undergraduate degree in international affairs and humanities from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

3. Jeanne Yuen-Hum
VP & Director of Global Supply Chain Quality & Reliability, Intel Corporation

Jeanne Yuen-Hum is the Vice President and Director of Global Supply Chain Quality and Reliability for Intel, the world's largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue. The company’s mission is to shape the future of technology to help create a better future for the entire world. By pushing forward in fields like AI, analytics and cloud-to-edge technology, Intel’s work is at the heart of countless innovations. In her role, Yuen-Hum is responsible for all materials and supplier quality programs for Intel's global supply chain to ensure that 100% of all procured materials, capital equipment, and services meet Intel expectations for both internal and outsourced manufacturing. Yuen-Hum has 26 years of experience. She began her career in 1996.

Yuen-Hum graduated from McGill University with an MS and an undergraduate degree in computer science.

4. Caroline Lew-Wolf
VP of Strategy & Business Development, Adidas

Caroline Lew-Wolf began her professional career 26 years ago. Today, she is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development of Adidas. Adidas, founded and headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, designs and manufactures shoes, clothing, and accessories. It strives to be the global leader in the sporting goods industry with sports brands built on a passion for sports and a sporting lifestyle.

Lew-Wolf first got her start in 1996 as a manager, consultant, and analyst at Accenture. From there, she went on to Gap Inc. before eventually rising to become a principal owner of Lew-Wolf Consulting, her most recent venture prior to joining Adidas. Lew-Wolf graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business with an MBA, and from the University of Southern California with an undergraduate degree in business administration.

5. Marcela Piñeros
Global Head of Sales Enablement, Stripe

Marcela Piñeros is the Global Head of Sales Enablement for Stripe. She first joined the company in 2021. Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies, from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups, use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. It primarily offers payment processing software and application programming interfaces (APIs) for ecommerce websites and mobile applications. Headquartered in San Francisco and Dublin, the company aims to increase the GDP of the internet.

Piñeros has dedicated her enablement career to helping people become intentionally excellent at their job. Her passions include learning more every day and building teams of extraordinary humans who are out to change the world. With over 20 years of experience, she has led teams across academia, non-profit, public sector, start-up, and enterprise. She has driven award-winning strategic programs for clients such as Citigroup, Nissan, EMC2, Perry Ellis, Steve Madden, Microsoft, NASA, U.S. Department of Energy, Red Hat, Oracle, and CA Technologies. Piñeros earned an undergraduate degree in education, history, and women’s studies from Florida International University.

6. Angie Callaway
VP of Direct Stores, Nike

Angie Callaway is the Vice President of Nike Direct Stores. She first joined the company in 2015 as senior category business director of DTC women. Nike, Inc. is the world's leading designer, marketer, and distributor of authentic athletic footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories for a wide variety of sports and fitness activities. It is the world's largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and a major manufacturer of sports equipment, with revenue in excess of US$37.4 billion in its fiscal year 2020. Nike also operates in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Greater China, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.

Previously, Callaway was a VP of apparel and trade marketing at Gaiam, and before that, a senior director of global retail at Crocs, Inc. Callaway earned an undergraduate degree in economics from The University of Georgia.

7. Amy Stark
General Manager - Oregon State Division, Tyler Technologies

Amy Stark is the General Manager of the Oregon State Division of Tyler Technologies. Tyler Technologies provides integrated software and technology services to the public sector. Tyler's end-to-end solutions empower local, state, and federal government entities to operate more efficiently and connect more transparently with their constituents and with each other. Since 2018, Ms. Stark has been responsible for managing Tyler's enterprise contract with the State of Oregon, overseeing the company's team of technology professionals, and ensuring quality outcomes for the government partnership—a position she's held since 2018.

Ms. Stark joined Tyler following Tyler's acquisition of NIC, Inc. in April 2021, where she spent a combined 18 years leading business operations and strategy in five separate States for the company. Ms. Stark is also the co-inventor of Tyler's Gov2Go™ product, a first-of-its kind personal assistant mobile application designed to enable government digital interactions around the unique needs and profiles of citizens. Ms. Stark was responsible for delivering an early version of Gov2Go™, which is now in production and assisted several partner States with their COVID prevention programs in 2021. Stark is an Oregon native and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with an undergraduate degree in political science.

8. Tricia Hecht-Glad
First Vice President, Alliant Insurance Services

Tricia Hecht-Glad is a First Vice President of Alliant Insurance Services. She first joined the company in 2016. Alliant Insurance Services is among the largest and fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the United States. Fueled by entrepreneurialism and driven by results, Alliant operates on the belief that more is possible and expectations are meant to be exceeded. Their clients and partners have profound confidence in them to deliver in all market climates through the design and delivery of innovative solutions and services across a broad range of industry verticals.

Hecht-Glad served as a president for Hecht Group prior to its merger with Alliant. In addition to her roles with the organization she is known for guest speaking engagements, giving hundreds of speeches on motivation, marketing, insurance trends, health care reform, eliminating expenses through transparent benefit programs and the dangers of not owning life insurance. She is an accomplished speaker giving her audience direct, comprehensive, and strategic solutions. Hecht-Glad graduated from Portland State University with an undergraduate degree in business administration and from Marylhurst University with an MBA specializing in finance.

9. Julie Pylypczak
VP & Senior Client Solutions Director, Robert Half

Julie Pylypczak is a Vice President and Senior Client Solutions Director of Robert Half, the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm, connects opportunities at great companies with highly skilled job seekers. The company operates through three segments including temporary and consultant staffing, permanent placement staffing, and risk consulting and internal audit services, for roles in finance and accounting, technology, marketing and creative, legal, and administrative and customer support. Pylypczak has 15 years of experience. She began her career in 2007.

Before joining Robert Half, Pylypczak was a senior audit associate at Deloitte. She graduated from DePaul University with an undergraduate degree in accounting.

10. Melissa Blanchette
Vice President, Arcadis

Melissa Blanchette began her professional career 27 years ago. Today, she is a Vice President of Arcadis, the leading global design and engineering consultancy for natural and built assets. Applying its deep market sector insights and collective design, consultancy, engineering, project and management services, Arcadis works in partnership with its clients to deliver exceptional and sustainable outcomes throughout the lifecycle of their natural and built assets. It has 29,000 people, active in over 70 countries. It supports UN-Habitat with knowledge and expertise to improve the quality of life in rapidly growing cities around the world.

Blanchette first got her start in 1995 as a staff geologist at Terra Nova Associates. From there, she went on to MWH before eventually rising to become a project engineer and geologist at Fugro, her most recent position prior to joining Arcadis. Blanchette graduated from Auburn University with an MS in civil engineering and an undergraduate degree in geology.

11. Georgie Christensen-Riley
First Vice President, Christensen Group of Marcus & Millichap

Georgie Christensen-Riley is the First Vice President of the Christensen Group of Marcus & Millichap. She first joined the company in 2014 as senior apartment broker. Marcus & Millichap was founded in 1971 with the goal of being a new kind of company, one driven by long-term relationships and built on a culture of collaboration. Christensen-Riley is a top multi-family advisor focused on helping investors buy and sell in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Oregon and Washington. She assists clients with uniquely insightful information. Through leveraging Marcus & Millichap's national marketing platform, she provides investors with access to the industry’s largest inventory of deliverable commercial property as well as connects them to the largest pool of qualified private and institutional buyers and sellers.

Christensen-Riley specializes in secondary and tertiary markets and has closed apartment deals at record values throughout the Willamette Valley. She was Broker of the Year in 2019 and led the Portland office in list-to-close ratio. Historically, she has closed ninety-seven percent of her listings and has earned sellers an average of 103% list-to-close values. She has earned numerous accolades during her career with Marcus & Millichap including the National Achievement Award and continues to be a leader in the industry. Christensen-Riley graduated from Concordia University with a degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.

12. Warren Binford
Professor & Chair, University of Colorado School of Medicine

Warren Binford is an international children’s rights scholar and advocate whose research and writing largely focuses on 21st century forms of childhood harms. She has published a wide variety of 80+ works and given hundreds of presentations worldwide. Her media appearances on children’s issues include CNN, BBC, NBC, NPR, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Newsweek, Washington Post, the New Yorker, the Atlantic, and many others.

Professor Binford was selected both as a Fulbright Scholar in South Africa in 2012 and as the inaugural Fulbright Canada-Palix Foundation Distinguished Visiting Chair in Brain Science and Child and Family Health and Wellness at the University of Calgary in 2015, among numerous other awards and distinctions. She holds a BA, summa cum laude with distinction, in literature and psychology and an EdM in early childhood education from Boston University and a JD from Harvard Law School. In 2020, Professor Binford became the inaugural W.H. Lea Endowed Chair for Justice in Pediatric Law, Policy, and Ethics at the University of Colorado where she is a Professor of Pediatrics (tenured) and Professor of Law (by courtesy). Prior to joining the University of Colorado, she was a tenured Professor of Law and Director of the Clinical Law Program at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where she continues to live with her family.

13. Kerrie Christensen
System VP of Real Estate Strategy & Development, CommonSpirit Health

Kerrie Christensen is the System Vice President of Real Estate Strategy and Development of CommonSpirit Health. She first joined the organization in 2022. CommonSpirit Health was created in early 2019 when Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health came together as one ministry. Drawing on its combined resources, CommonSpirit is dedicated to building healthy communities, advocating for the poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen, both inside its hospitals and out in the community. CommonSpirit makes this happen through the dedicated work of thousands of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and staff.

Previously, Christensen was a VP of real estate strategy and operations at Providence and before that, a director of real estate operations at Spectrum Health. Earlier in her career she worked with KMG Prestige as a site manager. Christensen earned an MBA from Grand Valley State University and an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Lake Superior State University.

14. Carol Warneke
SVP & Business Development Officer, Pacific West Bank

Carol Warneke is the Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer of Pacific West Bank. She first joined the company in 2018. Pacific West Bank was founded in 2004 by a group of local business leaders who recognized that a strong banking relationship is a critical component to success. Their vision was to form a bank where clients felt known, understood and supported. They are knowledgeable, experienced relationship bankers who are industry experts invested in collaborating with clients. The Bank continues to use this as its guiding principle today as it writes the next chapter of PWB, keeping its clients at the center of everything it does. As a company and on an individual level, PWB supports its communities through fundraising, volunteering, and advocating for local causes.

Previously, Warneke was a VP and relationship banking officer at Columbia Bank. Earlier in her career she worked with Pacific Continental Bank as a VP and relationship banking officer.

15. Anne Cherry
Chief of Strategy, Axiom Healthcare Strategies

Anne Cherry leads strategy for Axiom Healthcare Strategies, a think tank-style consulting firm focused in oncology and rare disease. Axiom collaborates with scientific pioneers to communicate medical breakthroughs to a wide audience and advises biotech and pharma companies developing new therapies for patients with cancer or rare diseases. In this role, Cherry provides strategic guidance to bring innovative science to patients and breaks down bottlenecks preventing patients from receiving cutting-edge treatments.

Cherry earned a PhD from Harvard University in biological chemistry and molecular pharmacology and was an engagement manager at ClearView Healthcare Partners before taking on her current role in 2018. Based in Portland, she works with biopharma clients across the west coast, northeast, and the EU.

16. Nicole Ford
Vice President, Kroll

Nicole Ford began her professional career 25 years ago. Today, she is a Vice President of Kroll. Kroll provides proprietary data, technology, and insights to help its clients stay ahead of complex demands related to risk, governance and growth. Its solutions deliver a powerful competitive advantage, enabling faster, smarter, and more sustainable decisions. With 5,000 experts around the world, it creates value and impact for its clients and communities. Serving clients in 140 countries across six continents and spanning nearly every industry and sector, Kroll delivers the coverage global organizations need to anticipate and exceed the complex demands surrounding risk, governance, operations, and growth.

Ford first got her start in 1997 as a portfolio administrator at Brown Brothers Harriman. From there, she went on to Reed Conner & Birdwell before eventually rising to become a managing research consultant and head of operational due diligence at RVK, Inc., her most recent position prior to joining Kroll. Ford graduated from Albany Law School with a master’s degree in legal studies in financial compliance and risk management, and from Pepperdine University with an undergraduate degree in business administration and management.

17. Kristi Flores
VP & Chief Marketing Officer, Tektronix

Kristi Flores is a Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Tektronix, a measurement insight company committed to performance, and compelled by possibilities. It is best known for manufacturing test and measurement devices such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and video and mobile test protocol equipment. It empowers engineers to create and realize technological advances with ever greater ease, speed, and accuracy. Tektronix solutions have supported many of humankind’s greatest advances of the past 70 years. Originally an independent company, it is now a subsidiary of Fortive, a spinoff from Danaher Corporation. Flores has 19 years of experience. She began her career in 2003.

Before joining Tektronix, Flores was a product marketing manager of service at Planar Systems. Flores graduated from Willamette University with an undergraduate degree in political science and government.

18. Amy Winterowd
VP of Client Solutions, JE Dunn Construction

Amy Winterowd began her professional career 27 years ago. Today, she is the Vice President of Client Solutions for JE Dunn Construction. JE Dunn Construction is family and employee owned and has been a leader in the commercial construction industry since 1924. It has 24 offices nationally and employs over 3,500 employees. The company is an industry leader in the application of preconstruction technology, virtual design and construction, and other emerging construction technologies. Innovation in construction, client-centric problem-solving, and delivering an exceptional client experience is what differentiates JE Dunn in the industry. The company provides general contracting, construction management, and design-build services.

Winterowd first got her start in 1995 as a travel agent at Pax Discount Travel. From there, she went on to Spieker Properties before eventually rising to become a principal at PlanB Consultancy, her most recent position prior to joining JE Dunn Construction. Winterowd graduated from the University of Puget Sound with an undergraduate degree in communication studies.

19. Kerry Johnson
SVP of Corporate Reputation of ESG, MikeWorldWide

Kerry Johnson is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Reputation of ESG for MikeWorldWide. MWW is one of the world’s leading independent, integrated PR agencies with offices across the U.S. and U.K., and a global network of partners. Johnson creates and implements fully integrated communications programs for clients across multiple verticals, from Fortune 500 to start-ups. In her role, she develops corporate narratives and executive visibility programs to drive brand and executive awareness. Johnson has 22 years of experience. She began her career in 2000.

Before joining MWW, Johnson was a communications advisor at Emanate PR where she developed communications and program strategies for media and government engagement to support Bank of America's legacy asset servicing, small businesses, and card products lines of business. Before that, she was an account manager at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. Earlier in her career she worked with Lane County Transit District as a communications coordinator. Johnson graduated from the University of Oregon with an undergraduate degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations.

20. Serena Cruz
Chief Operating Officer, Multnomah County

Serena Cruz is the Chief Operating Officer of Multnomah County. She first joined the company in 2021. At Multnomah County, the organization’s top priority is to meet the many needs of its residents. It provides a wide array of essential services including health, community justice, roads, elections, libraries, jails, bridges, tax and assessment, marriage licenses, animal services, passports, mental health, and addiction services and more. Its diverse, dynamic workforce is comprised of more than 4,500 employees whose work collectively touches every person who lives, works, or does business in Multnomah County. As an organization, it values a culture of inclusivity, sustainability and innovation and it continuously strives to improve the quality of life for county employees and residents alike.

Previously, Cruz was a member manager at Albina Construction LLC, and before that, an owner at Cityhouse Builders LLC. Earlier in her career she worked with Lewis & Clark College as an assistant dean of admissions. Cruz earned a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, and an undergraduate degree in political science from Lewis & Clark College.

21. Andrea Reeder
VP & Executive Director, Asante

Andrea Reeder is a Vice President and Executive Director of Asante Foundation. As the largest health care provider in nine counties, Asante provides comprehensive medical care to 600,000 people throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. It believes each person must be treated with compassion, dignity, honesty, and skill. Its nearly 6,000 employees work together to make this ideal a reality, supported by new technology, modern facilities, and a common purpose of healing and hope. It is governed by a board of directors comprised of local volunteers and physicians. Reeder has 18 years of experience. She began her career in 2004.

Before joining Asante, Reeder was a director of advancement at Saint Paul's - Clearwater's Independent School. Earlier in her career she worked with St. Mary's School of Medford as a director of advancement. Reeder graduated from Western Governors University with an undergraduate degree in business administration.

22. Wendy Strgar

Lorie Tekorius began her professional career 27 years ago. Today, she is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Greenbrier Companies. 24. Lisa Landreman
VP of Student Affairs, Willamette University

Lisa Landreman is the Vice President of Student Affairs of Willamette University. She first joined the university in 2020. Willamette, the first university in the West, is an innovative leader powered by rigorous education, groundbreaking scholarships, and original thinking. Willamette provides a learning environment where subjects converge and collide, teaching students to generate new ideas across industries and preparing them for the careers of the future. Previously, Landreman was an AVP and dean of the student life division at Roger Williams University, and before that, an associate dean of students at Macalester College. Earlier in her career she worked with the University of San Francisco as an assistant director of residence life and staff programs. Landreman earned a PhD in higher education from the University of Michigan, an MS in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University Bloomington, and an undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

25. Mary Lou True
Chief Human Resources Officer, Moda Health

Mary Lou True is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Moda Health. Since 1955, Moda Health has offered quality health coverage to folks in the Northwest. Today, it provides medical, dental, pharmacy, vision, and Medicare plans to members across Oregon and Alaska. Its members access a diverse network of doctors and specialists, expert health coaches, caring customer service reps and leading innovators in healthcare. True graduated from Oregon State University with an undergraduate degree in industrial relations.

26. JoAnna Abrams
Founder & CEO, MindClick

JoAnna Abrams is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MindClick. Karina Nakayama is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the Co-Director of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program. In addition, Roberts achieved “Branch of the Month” at a store multiple times, for highest percentage of sales over goal in the Pacific Northwest region, an achievement that was a first for her particular store. Roberts was brought on by Goodwill to create and implement a new employee training and development program, which encompassed over 500 employees in two states, and was hugely successful. She has a proven track record of building trust very quickly and rallying both managers and employees around changes that create a more positive, productive work environment, while also creating an air of empowerment and inclusion. Before joining The Oregon Community Foundation, Bradley was an executive director at Elevate Oregon and before that, an executive director at Self Enhancement, Inc. Bradley graduated from Boston University with a master’s in education and from the University of Maryland Global Campus with an undergraduate degree in English.
