Women We Admire is pleased to announce the Top 50 Women Leaders in Medicine of 2022. This group of individuals is comprised of physicians, doctors, clinicians and educators who are changing the face of medicine through their profession, teachings, and personal lives. We recognize and honor each awardee for their commitment to quality care and advancements within the field. Their initiatives and dedication have proven to be invaluable contributions to society, both locally and internationally.
Among this year’s awardees is Avril Beckford, Chief Pediatric Officer of WellStar Health System, whose passion in early childhood brain development and emotional intelligence has led her to be published in textbooks and within articles in medical journals and parenting & teaching publications. Awardee Mariam Bekhit, Chief Medical Officer of Hidden River Eating Disorder Treatment, is a passionate psychiatrist who treats patients with a combined psychotherapeutic and pharmacological intervention approach. Also awarded is Theresa Heah, Chief Medical Officer and President of Kriya Therapeutics, who is advancing the company’s ophthalmology gene therapies and overall portfolio through its in-house R&D and business development engines.

1. Este Geraghty
Chief Medical Officer & Health Solutions Director, Esri
Este Geraghty is the Chief Medical Officer and Health Solutions Director at Esri. She leads the health and human services sector whose mission is to transform health through the strategic implementation of a GIS platform that improves decision-making, increases efficiencies, and facilitates collaboration at local and global scales.
Formerly the deputy director of the Center for Health Statistics and Informatics with the California Department of Public Health, Geraghty led the state vital records and public health informatics programs. She also served as associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California at Davis. Her research focused on using geographic information systems to influence health policy and advance community development programs. She has authored research in diabetes outcomes, pesticide exposure modeling, statewide mental health service access and utilization tracking systems; asset and disparity mapping of youth outcomes, and index development for youth well-being and vulnerability. Geraghty received her medical degree from the University of California, Davis. She completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Utah and her residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. She has graduated from two fellowship programs. Geraghty also has degrees in medical informatics and public health. She is a certified public health professional and a geographic information systems professional.
2. Avril Beckford
Chief Pediatric Officer, WellStar Health System
Avril Beckford is a pediatrician who founded the Pediatric and Adolescent Center in 1993 in Atlanta Georgia and is the Chief Pediatric Officer of the WellStar Health System as well as a member of the WellStar Board of Trustees. She has an unmatched passion and unwavering
commitment to the children, adolescents, and multi-professional team she works with. Their goal is to serve every patient and family as if they are their very own and as if they were the only ones that they serve. They believe overarching is the commitment to up to current best
Practice and evidence-based medicine.
Beckford is the past president of the Georgia Chapter of the Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the National Nominating Committee of the Academy of Pediatrics. She is passionate about Pediatrics and Pediatric advocacy and has served on a number of other volunteer boards including that of The Lovett School, The Council for Spiritual and Ethical Education, The 1998 Society of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Camp Kudzu for Children with Diabetes. She has authored 3 books; a parenting book titled Allow Your Children to Fail if you want Them to Succeed, and two children's books I Love You 65 Bulldozers and The Tooth Fairy, as well as writing the forward of Typecast and a chapter in a major Pediatric textbook. She enjoys public speaking and has given presentations internationally. Beckford graduated from the University of Cape Town with an MD in Pediatrics.
3. Natalie Hartenbaum
President & Chief Medical Officer, OccuMedix
Natalie Hartenbaum is President and Chief Medical Officer of OccuMedix, Inc, an occupational medicine consulting firm located in Dresher, PA. Through OccuMedix, she serves as Medical Director/Advisor to numerous companies including the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and is a consultant with Corporate Medical Advisors. Hartenbaum is on both the clinical and teaching faculty of the University of Pennsylvania. She is the editor of The DOT Medical Examination: A Guide to Commercial Driver Medical Certification, now in its seventh edition and CDME Review, a quarterly newsletter for commercial driver medical examiners. She has published and lectured nationally on various issues of fitness evaluations in the workplace and is the course director for ACOEM’s National Registry of Certified Medical Examiner training program.
Hartenbaum is past president of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and a former member of the board of trustees of the American Board of Preventive Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine and has a master’s degree in public health in occupational medicine. Hartenbaum has extensive experience in the clinical, corporate, and academic settings and is a nationally recognized expert in occupational fitness for duty with a special focus on transportation.
4. Tere Koenig
EVP & Chief Medical Officer, Medical Mutual
Tere Koenig is the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Medical Mutual. She first joined the company in 2015 as senior medical director of government programs. Koenig is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the company’s care management, credentialing, quality improvement and medical policy functions. She is also responsible for the company’s health informatics department which analyzes data to support customers who have a vital need to better understand and manage their healthcare programs.
Previously, Koenig was an SVP and chief medical officer at The Camden Group. Earlier in her career, she worked with Summa Health System as an SVP and chief medical officer. Koenig earned an MD from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and an MBA in healthcare from Baldwin Wallace.
5. Mariam Bekhit
Chief Medical Officer, Hidden River Eating Disorder Treatment
Mariam Bekhit is the Chief Medical Officer of Hidden River Eating Disorder Treatment. Hidden River provides residential eating disorder treatment for girls and women ages 12 through 21 utilizing an expert, compassionate treatment team emphasizing family involvement. They offer a beautifully designed facility in a peaceful, natural environment conducive to recovery and healing. Bekhit is a passionate psychiatrist who treats patients with a combined psychotherapeutic and pharmacological intervention approach.
Bekhit is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and by the American Board of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition to being an excellent clinician, she has undertaken a vast amount of administrative responsibilities, which she handled with great success. She also serves with Summit Oaks Hospital as a child psychiatrist. Bekhit graduated from Alexandria University with an M and spent her fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
6. Ann Wells
Chief Medical Officer of Population Health, InnovAge
Ann Wells is the Chief Medical Officer of Population Health for InnovAge. InnovAge helps seniors age in their own homes with dignity through the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), an alternative to nursing facilities that provides customized healthcare and social engagement to older adults to help them stay independent. InnovAge is dedicated to expanding this successful program to serve as many seniors as possible across the country. Its mission is to sustain and enhance the independence and quality of life for those it serves, on their terms. InnovAge’s purpose is to help older adults remain mobile, prolong their health, and continue living in their own homes. Wells has 20 years of experience. She began her career in 2002.
Before joining InnovAge, Wells was a primary care medical staff and lead physician for heart failure, diabetes and hypertension at Kaiser Permanente Colorado. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine with an MD and from Brown University with an undergraduate degree in molecular biology.
7. Suzanna Fox
Enterprise Deputy Chief Physician Executive, Atrium Health
Suzanna Fox is the Enterprise Deputy Chief Physician for Atrium Health. In her role, she supports the Enterprise Chief Physician Executive, Scott Rissmiller, MD. In this capacity she partners with the Divisions of Surgery, Primary Care, and Adult Medical specialties to assist with operations oversight and execution. She also serves as the executive physician sponsor of the Emerging Care Model Division, Global Health Care Services, and Atrium Health’s Hospital at Home program.
In addition to these responsibilities, Fox serves on multiple committees and councils including as chair of the Physician Compensation Committee, chair of the Best Place to Care Committee, the Enterprise Strategic Council, and Health Equity and Social Impact Leadership Council. Fox is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and the University of Georgia. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Carolinas Healthcare System – now Atrium Health – serving as chief resident.
8. Loretta Itri
Chief Medical Officer, Immunomedics
Loretta Itri is the Chief Medical Officer of Immunomedics. She first joined the company in 2020. Immunomedics is a leader in next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology, committed to help transform the lives of people with hard-to-treat cancers. It is a biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes monoclonal antibody drug conjugates for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disorders. The company's model exudes the benefits of nimble and flexible biotech that are focused on creating breakthrough science and therapies while leveraging their connected infrastructure and global partner ecosystem to drive scale and operational excellence across the business, enabling patients to receive breakthrough therapies.
Previously, Itri was a principal consultant at CIRCE Advisors and before that, an EVP of global health sciences & regulatory affairs at The Medicines Company. Earlier in her career, she worked with Hoffmann LaRoche as an AVP of clinical research and development. Itri earned an MD from New York Medical College and an undergraduate degree in biology from Long Island University.
9. Nancy Martin
Chief Medical Officer & EVP of R&D, TerSera Therapeutics
Nancy Martin began her professional career 25 years ago. Today, she is the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of R&D of TerSera Therapeutics. The company acquires and develops specialty pharmaceutical products with a focus on select therapeutic areas. Its mission is to market products which truly make a difference for patients. Its focus is to bring intelligent solutions to prescribers and patients who need better solutions. TerSera has significant collective specialty pharmaceutical experience, and it delivers a comprehensive set of programs that go beyond the therapy itself in order to provide improved outcomes for patients. It has worked with compounds in all phases of pre-clinical and clinical development, as well as lifecycle management and phase IV studies.
Martin first got her start in 1997 as a clinical pharmacologist at Roche. From there, she went on to Sanofi, before eventually rising to become the VP of global medical science and head of medical specialties at Astellas Pharma US, her most recent position prior to joining TerSera Therapeutics. Martin graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with an MD and from the University of Illinois Chicago with a PharmD.
10. Karen Hill
VP & Chief Medical Officer, Texas Children's Health Plan
Karen Hill is the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Texas Children's Health Plan. She first joined the organization in 2022. Founded in 1996, Texas Children’s Health Plan is the nation's first health maintenance organization created just for children. It provides STAR/Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program to pregnant women, teens, children and adults in Houston and surrounding areas. Both programs cover doctor visits, prescription drugs, dental care, eye exams, glasses, and more. Currently, the Health Plan has more than 375,000 members who receive care from its network of more than 1,100 primary care physicians, 3,200 specialists, and 70 hospitals.
Previously, Hill was an SVP of product development and management at HealthHelp, and before that, an SVP and chief medical officer at Community Health Choice. Earlier in her career, she worked with the Department of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine as an assistant professor. Hill earned an MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, an MBA from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business, and an undergraduate degree in microbiology from The Ohio State University.
11. Alice Lorch
Ophthalmologist, Residency Program Director & Chief Quality Officer, Massachusetts Eye and Ear
Alice Lorch is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear where she is also the Program Director for the Harvard Ophthalmology Residency Program, the Co-Director of the Ophthalmic Telemedicine Fellowship and the Associate Chief for Quality in Ophthalmology. Her research interests include quality reporting, patient reported outcome measures and tele-ophthalmology. She is the Co-PI for the Massachusetts Eye and Ear IRIS Registry Data Analytics Team.
Lorch graduated from Harvard Medical School with an MD, from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with an MPH, and from Yale University with an undergraduate degree in biology.
12. Stephanie Eken
Assistant Chief Medical Officer, Rogers Behavioral Health
Stephanie Eken began her professional career 20 years ago. Today, she is the Assistant Chief Medical Officer of Rogers Behavioral Health, a nationally recognized, nonprofit provider of highly specialized psychiatric care. Rogers offers evidence-based treatment for children, teens, and adults with OCD and anxiety, addiction, depression and other mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, and PTSD in a growing network of communities across the country. Backed by more than a century of experience, Rogers is leading the way on measurement-based care and use of clinical outcomes. The system also includes Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation, which supports patient care, programs, and research; and Rogers InHealth, an initiative that works to eliminate the stigma of mental health challenges.
Eken first got her start in 2007 as a triple board resident at University of Kentucky. From there, she went on to Square One as a child and adolescent psychiatrist, her most recent position prior to joining Rogers Behavioral Health. Eken graduated from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center with an MD and from the University of Richmond with an undergraduate degree in leadership.
13. Theresa Heah
Chief Medical Officer & President, Kriya Therapeutics
Theresa Heah was recently appointed as Chief Medical Officer and President of Kriya’s newly launched ophthalmology division, Kriya Ophthalmology™. She is responsible for advancing Kriya’s current pipeline of ophthalmology gene therapies and continuing to expand Kriya’s ophthalmology portfolio through its in-house R&D and business development engines.
Heah previously served as the CMO and EVP of operations for AsclepiX Therapeutics and eventually assumed the role of Interim CEO. She was responsible for the business strategy, R&D, clinical development, and regulatory strategy to advance the robust pipeline and lead the company in bringing innovative products to market. Within the first year, she closed a Series A of $35M, built a cross-functional team of 16 and transitioned the company to clinical stage. Prior to joining AsclepiX Therapeutics, Heah served as CMO at Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation, where she worked on developing gene therapies in ophthalmology and rare diseases. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Guy’s Kings and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine, King’s College, University of London, and her executive MBA from the European School of Management & Technology in Berlin.
14. Terri Remy
Vice Chief Medical Officer, VHC Health
Terri Remy began her professional career 30 years ago. Today, she is the Vice Chief Medical Officer of VHC Health. Virginia Hospital Center, now VHC Health, has provided exceptional medical services to Arlington, VA and Washington, DC metropolitan area for 70 years. VHC, designated as a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is a 342-bed nonprofit, teaching facility offering comprehensive healthcare and multiple, independently recognized Centers of Excellence including cardiology & cardiovascular surgery, the Reinsch Pierce Family Center for Breast Health, the bariatric surgery center, neuroscience, oncology, total joint replacement (hip and knee), women & infant health, and urology.
Remy first got her start in 1992 as a resident at George Washington University. From there, she went on to a private practice at Falls Church Medical Center, her most recent position prior to joining VHC Health. Remy graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine with an MD, and from The University of Maryland with a master’s degree and an undergraduate degree.
15. Stephanie Coyne
Lead Clinician & Referral Coordinator Western Market, Veterans Administration
Stephanie Coyne, Lead Clinician for the Western Market VISN 4, continues to advocate on a micro and macro level to increase access to specialty care for veterans in rural areas. Responsible for developing, collaborating, and implementing clinical programs, Coyne has worked to reduce the reliance on community care needs by strategically placing specialists directly onsite or accessible virtually to rural veterans. These programs offer veterans continuity of care, a whole team collaborative approach to their healthcare, and more. Many of the programs implemented by Coyne and her team work to modify risk factors of early-stage disease, reduce burden, and optimize health outcomes. She has been part of several national initiatives that have worked to improve veterans access to care across the nation. She continues her journey and vision within her role to continue to open specialty care access for veterans on a larger scale.
Before joining the Veterans Administration, Coyne was a surgical physician assistant at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside. She graduated from the University of Lynchburg with an MD in physician assistant studies and from Chatham University with an MPAS.
16. Liz Do
Assistant Medical Director, Northwell Health
Liz Do is an Assistant Medical Director with Northwell Health. Northwell Health is New York State’s largest healthcare provider and private employer, with 21 hospitals and 850 outpatient facilities. It cares for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from its communities. Its 79,000 employees – 18,900 nurses and 4,900 employed doctors, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners – are working to change health care for the better. Do has 8 years of experience. She began her career in 2014.
Before joining Northwell Health, Do was an attending telehealth psychiatrist at Northwell Health, and before that, a coordinating chief of CMS core measure compliance at Westchester Medical Center. Earlier in her career, she worked with Lenox Hill Hospital as a resident psychiatrist. Do graduated from New York Institute of Technology with an MD, and from Hunter College with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry.
17. Jess Guarnaschelli
Senior Medical Director & Radiation Oncologist, Medpace
Jess Guarnaschelli is the Senior Medical Director and Radiation Oncologist of Medpace. She is a board-certified radiation oncologist with more than 15 years of clinical research experience. She works with biotech and radiopharmaceutical companies who need medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations expertise to accelerate drug and device approval. As a Radiation Oncologist at Medpace, she works with sponsors to refine their development strategy, create protocols, and to offer radiation oncology expertise throughout the drug's (or device) development to marketing authorization.
Before joining Medpace, Guarnaschelli was a radiation oncologist at TriHealth and before that, with the University of Cincinnati. She graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine with an MD, and from Brown University with an undergraduate degree in biology.
18. Meera Wells
Statewide Medical Director, Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative, Hackensack Meridian Health
Meera Wells is the Statewide Medical Director of the Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative of Hackensack Meridian Health. Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading nonprofit healthcare organization that is the largest, most comprehensive and truly integrated health care network in New Jersey. The organization offers a complete range of medical services, innovative research and life-enhancing care. The health company comprises 17 hospitals from Bergen to Ocean counties and more than 500 patient care locations throughout the state which include ambulatory care centers, surgery centers, home health services, long-term care and assisted living communities, ambulance services, lifesaving air medical transportation, fitness and wellness centers, rehabilitation centers, urgent care centers, and physician practice locations.
Wells has over 20 years of medical experience. She is a double board-certified physician with a unique combination of training and career experience that enables her to provide exceptional care. Her career includes specialized as well as super specialized medical practice in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychoanalysis, clinical research, teaching and senior leadership responsibility. She first got her start in 1993 as an emergency room physician at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. From there, she went on to Stanford University, before eventually moving on to her own private practice. Wells graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College with an MD.
19. Aenor Sawyer
Director, UC Space Health, University of California
Director, Skeletal Health Service UCSF Department Orthopaedic Surgery
Aenor Sawyer has more than two decades of experience in development and evaluation of health technologies, telemedicine and remote medical management. Her experience in remote medical management includes 15 years as an Expedition Medic and Medical Advisor for extreme ocean rowers. She also conducts research with the Australian Antarctic Division on remote medical monitoring. Additionally, she has expertise in remote care and Space Health/Medical management as the Director of the UC Space Health Program and previously served as the Chief Health Innovation Officer for the Translational Research Institute for Space Health, a NASA-funded program.
Sawyer is a member of the UCSF IT Governance Committee, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the UCSF Center for Advanced 3D+ Technologies, Co-Founder of the Center for Digital Health Innovation, and a UCSF HEALTH HUB board member. Her external roles also include chair of MCRI HealthTechnology Advisory Board, advisor to UCSF Invest Fund, advisor to ANDHealth, External Advisory Board Member of the Scripps Translational Sciences Institute, and prior Associate Editor of Nature’s Digital Medicine Journal.
As a UCSF Orthopedist, she is Founder and Director of the Skeletal Health Service where she combines her background as an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Physical Therapist and Exercise Physiologist enabling pediatric to geriatric patients optimize their bone health across the lifespan. Her career includes 10 years as a Physical Therapist, after which she received an MS in human physiology and her MD from the University of California, Davis. Upon completion of her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Stanford University, she completed fellowship training in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Paediatric/Adolescent Sports Medicine, both at Boston Children's Hospital, in the Harvard Orthopaedic program.
20. Arshiya Seth
Medical Director, Cambridge Health Alliance
Arshiya Seth is an internist and Medical Director of Ambulatory Risk and Patient Safety at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). She has expertise in patient safety, risk, quality and performance improvement and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality®. She trained in Internal Medicine from CHA, followed by Primary Care Innovations Fellowship and the Linde Fellowship from BIDMC. Seth has dedicated her career to improving patient and staff experience of care through innovation and quality improvement.
In addition to her roles with CHA, Seth is an Instructor in Medicine with Harvard Medical School. She earned an MD in internal medicine from Harvard University.
21. Ana Ozdoba
Attending Physician & Assistant Professor, Montefiore Health System
Ana Ozdoba is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Additionally, she is the Director of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Her academic interests include psychodynamic psychotherapy, cultural psychiatry, resident education and curriculum development and quality improvement and patient safety.
Previously, Ozdoba was the director of quality improvement and patient safety for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She specializes in the psychiatric treatment of the Spanish speaking population of the Bronx and was chair and founder of the D&I committee for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is nationally involved in the committee for diversity and inclusion of the American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training. Ozdoba completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency Training as well as a Fellowship in Administrative Psychiatry at Montefiore Hospital/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She graduated from Temple University School of Medicine and the University of Michigan with an undergraduate degree in psychology.
22. Arti Lakhani
Hematologist-Oncologist and Director of Integrative Oncology, AMITA Health
Arti Lakhani is board certified in the fields of Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology, and practices at the Amita Cancer Institute in Hinsdale, IL. She has published numerous articles in the fields of hematology and oncology and is dedicated to caring for patients with complex malignancies. Arti has also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine and has established an Integrative Oncology Center to serve the needs of the surrounding community.
Lakhani treats a broad range of cancer patients, where she approaches each patient with a team of doctors to provide multidisciplinary care. Her mission is to provide cancer patients with state-of-the-art treatments while incorporating evidence-based complementary and alternative methods. Arti defines Integrative Oncology as a practice that not only treats disease, but aims to prevent cancer recurrence, reduce side effects, improve quality of life, and most importantly empowers patients to take an active role in their own personal health. Shei earned an MD from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center and an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
23. Patricia Rogers
Physician & Professor of Pediatrics & Family Medicine, The University of Texas Medical Branch
Patricia Rogers is a Physician and a Professor of Pediatrics and Family Medicine with The University of Texas Medical Branch. She first joined the organization in 1998. UTMB Health is a component of the University of Texas System and a major academic medical center. UTMB Health includes schools of medicine, nursing, health professions and graduate biomedical sciences; a robust research enterprise that attracts nearly $150 million in funding annually; a comprehensive inpatient care complex and Level 1 trauma center on Galveston Island; and an extensive network of campus- and community-based outpatient clinics.
Rogers earned an MD from the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center College of Medicine, and an undergraduate degree in mathematics and chemistry from Vanderbilt University.
24. Priti Lakhani
Principal & Health System Physician, MITRE
Priti Lakhani began her professional career 24 years ago. Today, she is a Principal and Health System Physician of MITRE. MITRE was established to advance national security in new ways and serve the public interest as an independent adviser. It continues to deliver on that promise every day, applying its systems-thinking approach to provide solutions that enhance its national security and way of life.
Lakhani first got her start in 1998 in private practice. From there, she went on to St. Francis Health Center, before eventually rising to become an executive director at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, her most recent position prior to joining MITRE. Lakhani graduated from Des Moines University with a DPM, from Harvard T.H. Chan, School of Public Health with a master’s degree in health care administration, and from Washburn University with an undergraduate degree in biology.
25. Gyobanna Driver
Wound Physician & Medical Director, UnityPoint Health
Gyobanna Driver is a Wound Physician and Medical Director at UnityPoint Health. Rockelle Rogers-Branhan began her professional career 25 years ago. Today, she is the Medical Director of Primary Care of Ascen. Rogers-Branhan first got her start in 1997 as an associate medical director of hospice and outpatient physician at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor, Michigan. From there, she went on to Family Health Center as medical director, her most recent position prior to joining Ascent. Rogers-Branhan graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine with an MD, and from The University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Michigan with an undergraduate degree in biopsychology.

Earlier in her career, she worked with Genesys Health System as a resident in general surgery. Gold graduated from Des Moines University with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in breast cancer surgery, and from the University of Michigan with an undergraduate degree in psychology.
