Chanda Smith Baker

Chanda Smith Baker is the Chief Impact Officer and Senior Vice President of The Minneapolis Foundation. She first joined the organization in 2017. The Minneapolis Foundation drives collective action to realize strong, vibrant communities. They cultivate generosity by taking action on the greatest civic, social, and economic needs, partnering with nonprofits, facilitating grantmaking, driving research and advocacy, and providing services to donors seeking to make a difference in their communities. Smith Baker is an executive leader with over 20 years of experience working in, with, and for the community. She sits at the intersection of the social sector, business, philanthropy, government, and community. In addition to her roles with The Minneapolis Foundation, Smith Baker is an adjunct faculty for St. Catherine University. She was previously a president and CEO at Pillsbury United Communities. Smith Baker earned an MA in organizational development from Concordia University-St. Paul and holds certificates from the University of Michigan and Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
