Wendy York

Wendy York is the first female to serve as Dean of the newly named Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University. She is responsible for creating the innovative strategic vision that is propelling the university upward in national academic prominence and unprecedented philanthropic support. York oversees all academic, administrative, fundraising, and financial management functions for the college's 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 300 faculty and staff. Clemson University is a tier-one Carnegie R1 research institution in South Carolina committed to graduating the purpose-driven leaders of tomorrow. Prior to her current role, York served at Stanford Business School as associate dean and executive director of Centers & Initiatives, Research, Curriculum and Learning Experiences (CIRCLE) supporting innovative research and curriculum. Prior to that, she had a successful business career as a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and leader for profit and nonprofit organizations. York holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University with honors in international relations, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
