The multi-faceted Lauren Conrad is an American television personality, author, and fashion designer. The world was introduced to her as an 18-year-old in 2004 when she found celebrity starring with her classmates on the MTV reality series “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.” The show documented the lives of Conrad and her friends Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, and Kristin Cavallari. Conrad was known as the nice girl from Orange County with fashion aspirations, boyfriend drama, and friendships that went sour. She left the show after the second season.

After graduating from high school in 2004, Conrad attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for one semester and then in 2005 moved to Los Angeles. There, she starred in a spin-off of Laguna Beach called “The Hills,” which showcased the lives of Conrad, her housemate Heidi Montag, and their friends Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port. During the production of the show’s first season, Conrad had an internship with “Teen Vogue.” In the second season of the series, she transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles and began to struggle with drama involving her castmate Montag. She left the series at the conclusion of the fourth season to focus on other career opportunities.
