Before joining Carlyle, LoBue held various leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, where she demonstrated expertise in strategic growth and client relations. Her appointment as COO aligns with Carlyle's focus on fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, leveraging diverse backgrounds and experiences to drive success.

Carlyle has been vocal about its commitment to diversity, with women overseeing approximately half of the $426 billion in assets under management. However, the broader financial services industry still faces challenges in achieving gender parity, particularly at the senior management level. Her promotion reflects the company's proactive efforts to address these disparities and promote diversity across all levels of the organization.

As part of the leadership transition, current COO Chris Finn, a 28-year veteran of Carlyle, will be retiring and transitioning to a senior advisory role. LoBue expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Finn as deputy COO, citing the experience as invaluable in preparing her for her new role. With LoBue's appointment, Carlyle looks poised to continue its legacy of innovation and leadership in the alternative asset management industry.

The promotion of LoBue to COO represents a significant milestone in Carlyle's ongoing efforts to champion diversity and elevate talented leaders within the organization. As she assumes her new role, LoBue's leadership will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping Carlyle's future success and furthering its mission of delivering value to clients and shareholders alike.
